Hello! My name is Heather Morrill. I have been a Certified Massage Therapist since 2004 and received my board certification in 2015.
I came to be interested in this profession while working at a J-O-B that I knew was not my calling. It paid the bills, however, and I enjoyed most days. A co-worker suggested I look into the field after giving her several shoulder massages. After doing some research, I signed up for the courses through PHCC in 2002. From the first hands-on class I knew this was what I was supposed to be doing.
Since receiving my certification, I have taken courses in Muscle Release Technique, Reflexology for the Feet and Hands, Spa Therapy, and a course in Aromatic Bodywork: Essential Oils for Massage, Relaxation, and Improved Immune Function that peeked interested in Raindrop Technique. So, in the Fall of 2008 I attended a weekend of courses, under a CARE (Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education) certified instructor, where I received training in Raindrop Technique, Applied Vitaflex, and an interactive course discussing the Healing Oils of the Bible. After having a fascination with essential oils from a young age, I finally had a hands-on way to use them for people’s benefit. I am a distributor with Young Living Essential Oils, and use only their essential oils for Raindrop Technique since I know their quality. Just this year (2014) I introduced my newest service, Million Dollar Foot Massage.
Currently I am working on my Reiki certification, already having finished the Reiki I course. Also, I am interested in learning more about Himalayan Salt Stone Massage and incorporating that into my practice.
I am a massage therapist that works with your body, not against it. If you ask me to “give me all you got!” I will respond with “NO”. Why? If I give you all I have, I will not have anything left over for myself, my family, or my next client! I only go as deeply as your body allows me to go. And I will find ways to work better for your body, not harder for me. I take my time with you as a client. I respect our time together, and ask for the same from you. I do not rush you to get on the table, nor off. This is YOUR time to relax. Feeling rushed in and rushed out would be antithetical to that.
I am an animal lover and especially love to talk about my fur-babies, and yours, if the topic is brought up!
